Who is this service for?

This rental and colocation service is aimed at expatriates, trainees, students, long-term holidaymakers, or anyone else wishing to rent an apartment or live in a colocation in one of the selected cities.

What is the minimum length of my stay to use your services?

Our service is aimed at all persons who wish to stay for a minimum of 1 month.

I would like to be shared, is it possible?

Yes, we offer private apartments for rent and rooms for sharing. In the case of a roommate, you will share the common areas.

Is this service only for adults?

In case of reservation made by a minor, a photocopy of the ID and a written authorization from the legal representative will be required. In the opposite case (reservation made by a legal adult), only the photocopy of an id document will be requested as well as the documents necessary for the confirmation of the reservation.

Will my information remain confidential?

When signing the contract, the names of each occupant as well as the passport number are required. This information is used only on your booking documents and will not be submitted to a third party or resold.

Where are your apartments located?

The apartments are all located in the center of each city or in the surrounding area within walking distance of local transportation. We offer properties located close to all amenities, in residential and secure neighborhoods.

Is a contract signed at the time of booking?

Yes. A contract including the rental information is signed between you and the apartment manager or owner. The elements included in this contract are the monthly price of the rent, the name of the tenants, the exact address of the property, the cancellation conditions and all information relating to your rental.

Cancellation and refund

When can I get my deposit back?

When you leave, a check out may be done with a representative of the local owner. In case of no deterioration to note in the property or amenities expenses beyond what was included in the rent , the entire deposit will be returned to you within 1 to 2 months.

 I found another apartment after the contract was signed , can I be reimbursed of the paid fees?

In accordance with the law of 17 March 2014 on consumption, you have a withdrawal period of 14 days. No refund of fees will be made after acceptance and implementation of the booking procedure. The 14-day cancellation period will not apply to last-minute bookings or key pick-up and Check-In prior to the 14-day statutory period.

My visa has not been issued on time, can I be reimbursed for the fees?

[endif]Safe House is not responsible for the non-acceptance of your visa, we can not consider this as a reason for of contract cancellation. The apartment will be rented again. If we find a new tenant, we will be able to refund all or part of the costs.

We made a group booking for an apartment but one of us has withdrawn, is it possible to cancel?

Once the contract has been signed and the legal withdrawal period has passed, Safe House will not be able to make any refund or cancellation of the contract.

Payment and Fees

Which fees are included when booking?

At the time of booking, you will generally have to pay for the first month’s rent, the payment of the deposit and the booking or administration fees.

Why do I have to pay an administration/booking fee?

The administrative/booking fee allows us to guarantee an optimal quality service, to refer more and more apartments and roommates, the establishment of a secure payment platform and to have a team at your disposal.

What is the deposit?

The deposit is a sum of money collected by the owner at the time of booking. This will be returned to you at the end of your stay if no damage has been rectified during the check-out.

Which methods of payment are available?

Payment by credit card via a secure payment platform.

Payment by bank transfer to the account owned by Schoolin’World.

I broke a piece of furniture, what should I do?

Any degradation will be deducted from your deposit.

In case of degradation, we invite you to notify the owner as soon as possible and not to hide it during the Check out at the risk of losing the entire deposit.

Safe House can not be held responsible for the non-return of the deposit.

When do I have to pay the booking fee?

Once the contract is signed, you will be asked to pay the booking fees for the apartment. Your reservation will be final after payment of these fees.
